Pos Malaysia lancar setem, sampul surat harimau
KUALA LUMPUR 19 Feb. – Sempena sambutan ulang tahun ke-50 hubungan diplomatik antara Malaysia dan Korea, Pos Malaysia Berhad akan mengeluarkan koleksi setem, sampul surat hari pertama dan fail bertemakan harimau pada 23 Februari ini.
Ketua Unit Setem dan Filateli Pos Malaysia Berhad, Yasmin Ramli berkata, tema harimau dipilih kerana haiwan tersebut merupakan simbol kekuatan kedua-dua buah negara.
“Tema ini juga selaras dengan komitmen kami untuk meningkatkan kesedaran masyarakat bagi memastikan spesies terancam ini terus hidup di hutan Malaysia dan Korea,” katanya.
Beliau berkata demikian pada sidang akhbar sempena prebiu setem kenang-kenangan dan sampul surat berkenaan di sini hari ini.
Katanya lagi, sebanyak 260,000 setem berkenaan akan dikeluarkan dan akan dijual dengan harga 50 sen untuk dua keping.
Bagi sampul surat hari pertama pula, beliau menambah, sebanyak 45,000 keping akan dikeluarkan untuk jualan pada 23 Februari sahaja dengan harga 30 sen sekeping.
”Selain itu, sebanyak 1,100 fail akan dikeluarkan untuk dijual dengan harga RM5.50 setiap satu,” ujarnya.
Jelasnya, orang ramai terutama peminat setem bukan saja dapat menambah koleksi mereka, namun pada masa yang sama dapat mempelajari aspek kehidupan haiwan liar itu dengan lebih dekat.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
